Bad day. Have to feel some factors were probably not account for correctly, especially with the weather and rain affecting things. As 'they' say, you learn more on bad days and good, let's hope that is the case.
Dower Glen - weakened = -1pt
Hong Kong Island 2nd = -1pt (Beaten by a 40/1 shot)
Amazing Blue Sky = -1pt
Arlequin = -1pt
Mirrored = -1pt
Prince Of Johanne 2nd, returning on the EW = +3.5pts (beaten by a 25/1 shot)
Bertiewhittle NR
Simple Jim 3rd - not far away = -1pt
Miss Dutee = -1pt
Charlietoo 3rd - just lacked that little extra = -1pt
The Dancing Lord won - drifted to 5/2 SP = +2.5pts
Mountrath 3rd - again, just lacked extra pace = -1pt
Fault 3rd - held up early on = -1pt
Kyle Of Bute- finished 2nd last, but in a very tight race. Again, lacked the extra = -2pts
Uppercut 2nd - well backed into 7/2 and always competitive. One paced slightly = -1pt
I guess overall on performance it wasn't too bad - a bit of luck here and there could have been different. It probably is not wise backing shorties on days such as these, when changes in the going can be massive to how a horse runs.
For the day -7pts, which continues on a horrid few days.

Yesterday Results
The less said the better about Saturday.
Colloquial - pulled up = -1pt
The Tichborne - ran ok, always chasing though, didn't really get into contention = -1pt
Arnold Lane - only around 1.5l off in 4th, but no real extra pace = -1pt
Sennockian Storm - ran ok, seemed to be waiting to make move, but couldn't = -1pt
El Viento and Lexi's Hero both weakened. Bad race for me = -3pts w/ RFC loss
Bonfire Knight - weakened = -1pt
Rave won, despite drifting out to 7/4 SP. Took time to get going, but strong run = +1.75pts
Denton - last = -1pt
Collect Art 2nd = not a super start, but came back well. Just beaten = -1pt
Sweet Cecily 3rd - not far off, had ran well. Just beaten = -1pt
Crystal Capella - not a great run, always chasing and couldn't match the pace = -2pts
Whaileyy - ran well for most of the run, leading late on. Weakened terribly = -2pts
Gottcher 2nd - decent effort = -1pt
So the one winner at the shortest priced of the lot meaning a bad -14.25pts. After the highs of the midweek, this is certainly a bitter reminder of some of the bad days that can be had.

Today's bets will be posted in drips and drabs unfortunately. Have been good recently in waiting till everything is gone through and having one post, but because of prior commitments at 1pm today that I can not get out of, I have started early, and will update this blog as soon as.
I appreciate some of the books have not priced up every race yet, so I am hopeful that getting on at early prices may secure us an extra point or two in the price.
3.00 Folkstone - Avonvalley @ 25/1 (1pt EW, top 3 1/5 odds)

More to follow. I am holding a couple of bets back because I feel the price may come out a couple of ticks when all the books price up. Thanks

Today's Results
The 3.40 Ripon was won by Dubai Dynamo @ 11/2 meaning a profit of +3.5pts on the race. Snow Bay was just pipped into 3rd, meaning if anyone played any forecasts etc, they were quite unlucky. Suggesting forecasts/tricasts is something we will not do as a rule, even if we have two/three bets in a race. Although our system is geared towards picking winners, ahead of things like snaffling place money, we just believe in the long-run it is quite difficult to make money from such bets. Some handicappers will say otherwise, and we are not questioning them, as some handicappers can certainly gain an edge in handicapped races. It is something we do not specialise in however. If you do chose to play our selections like that - good luck.
Forward Feline took time to get going and never really competed = -1pt
Revolutionary ran relatively well, finishing 3rd, but no extra = -1pt

Tuesday Bets
Results will be posted shortly. It is basic laziness for why I haven't updated it yet!
Today:
Ripon:
3.40 Dubai Dynamo @ 11/2
3.40 Snow Bay @ 8/1
3.40 Suits Me @ 13/2
Chepstow:
3.20 Forward Feline @ 11/2
4.50 Revolutionary @ 4/1
Appreciate the 3.40 Ripon has thrown up 3 bets, but it because we can not separate them. We don't deliberately dutch selections, but that is what the system has thrown up today. One winner from those selections will return a profit on the race however. If you chose to play any reverse forecasts or tricasts, that is up to you on that race.

It would have been more, had a couple of non-runners scuppered another decent priced 2pt bet, and Hugh Taylor crushing 'Woop Woop' in the 6.40 Windsor. This was trading around the 33/1 mark this morning, and was a bet then, but at less than half the price now, we can not advise it.
Either way, enough there to hopefully make a profitable day - the very best of luck!

Naturally, we are hoping it is instead a very good day, with some rather big prices to be had. Very best of luck!

Today
Yesterday we were a touch unfortunate with Dubai Dynamo, who traded 1.56 in-running before getting beaten into 2nd.
Today:
Two bets for us, and one is a tricky selection.
1st pick:
5.10 Wolves - The Absent Mare @ 16/1 (1pt)
2nd pick:
Unfortunately, Monumental Man in the 2.10 Wolves has been selected also by Hugh Taylor, meaning the price has been completely crushed from 40/1 -> 25/1 in the last 15mins, which is frustrating.
If you do not want to get involved that is your decision, but I shall suggest it as a half point win bet for this blog at 25/1.

Today and Yesterday's Results
Sat:
Another bad day, with no winners. The big prices on our selections always left that a possibility (anything is possible in racing) but it was a poor day.
Son Of The Cat 4th. Chased well, and it looked possible he could atleast place. Just couldn't beat the pace = -3pts
Spanish Bounty, nowhere = -1pt
Unex Picasso 4th. Slow to get going but the winner was too good = -1pt
Bonnie Charlie never got going = -1pt
Fire Crystal weakened = -1pt
Diablo Dancer weakened = -1pt
Collect Art 3rd, didn't quite have enough. = -1pt
Kazbow bad run = -1pt
Sunshine Always declared a NR.
Daily P&L = -10pts
A really bad day, one that reminds us of the horrible days back in Jan/Feb. After the run we had it was likely it couldn't continue, so have to take the rough with the smooth.

Well firstly, apologies. It would appear 'Blogger' has been having technical issues, meaning we could not update the blog today. Viking Storm 3rd as our 2pt. Again, couldn't quite make an impression. Odds-on winner Census was an easy winner in truth = -1pt

Kansai Spirit pipped into 3rd, had every chance, but just couldn't starve off the pressure = -1pt

Westlin' Winds, poor run, never got going = -1pt
P&L = -8pts for the day, back down to earth with a bump after a tremendous run. Days like this can always happen, lets try and reverse this tomorrow. Thanks, and apologies once more with the blogging errors.

Couple More
Brae Hill is now a 2pt qualifier in the 3.25 Ascot. As we've already suggested 1pt EW, we are now recommending a top up on the win aspect, so an extra point WIN on Brae Hill. 14/1 is still around.
3.25 Ascot - Horseradish is also a bet @ 7/1
2.00 Haydock - Beacon Lodge @ 9/2
2.10 Ling - Perfect Tribute @ 12/1

A pretty poor day for us here it has to be said.
Lucky Numbers = -1pt
Harris Tweed started promisingly, but couldn't match the pace to win = -1pt
Bold Bidder just outpaced, 2nd = -1pt
Elmaam took while to get going, but came back well, touch unlucky, 2nd = -1pt
Granny Mcphee 4th = -1pt
Cpt John Nixon 5th = -1pt
Ascot:
A bit better, with two winners, although our 2pt bet was a narrow second at good odds.
Florestans March = -1pt
Winter's Night won at SP 9/1, despite a hampered start, came back well to a good victory = +9pts
Parvana weakened = -1pt
Ermyn Lodge 2nd as our 2pt bet. Possibly the draw cost the win, as was just outpaced = -2pts
Elnawin won at advised 7/1 by a head on the line = +7pts
Hamilton:
3 shorties, neither doing us any good. Have to admit our short price selections are a worry.
Stroabe = -1pt
Fine Style, 3rd = -1pt
Royal Liason 3rd, = -1pt
Ripon:
Granston 3rd, did lead around 1f out, but a narrow loss = -1pt
Pearl Storm ran poorly = -1pt
Overall for the day: A +1pt profit for the day isn't great and with a bit more it could have been much bigger. Short prices selections are letting us down right now.

3 winners today, so a nice profit recorded.
Anddante was well backed into 6/1, but the gamble wasn't landed = -1pt
Bateleur won after a strong finish, and drifting out to SP 11/2 = +5.5pts
Mujaadel won at advised 9/2 = +4.5pts

22nd April - Sunday 1st May
First and foremost, apologies for getting so behind in updating our respective PandLs for football and horse bets. It is simply because I have been extremely busy on a number of fronts, especially with the increased sport around the two bank holiday weekends. I prioritised getting the bets out and just found myself bogged down with work, or on the odd occasion away from the computer. Here we go:
22nd April
One football bet - Oldham lost = -1pt
23rd April
Football - Histon lost = -1pt
Horses:
Sancutaire -1pt

Oldham drew 1-1 = -1pt
Yeovil was a sickener of a result for us. Leading until the 87th minute vs P'boro, but hit back immediately after conceding to take the lead 2-1. Just when it looked like we were in for a nice profit of 4.5pts, P'boro hit back with another equaliser. Sums up our season. -1pt

Eastbourne won - and a great result. It did look like it was going to be another sucker punch for us. Eastbourne 3-0 and crusing at HT away to Altrincham, somehow pull it back to 3-3. Just when it looked like some sick luck had cursed us again, a 92nd minute winner saw Eastbourne claim the spoils, and cue relief for us! +4.5pts
