Wadha started well, but nothing extra = -1pt
+4.75pts
So overall it's been a fairly balanced week, with a steady +5.5pts added to the overall profit figure.
Football:
Not so good, and the poor start to the season continues unfortunately.
Weekend results:
Birmingham drew 1-1 = -1pt
Bournemouth lost 1-2 = -1.5pts
Middlesbrough drew 0-0 = -1pt
Millwall lost 3-0 = -1.5pts

Port Vale drew 1-1 = -1pt
Scunthorpe won 2-1 = +1.46pts as 2pt bet
Shrewsbury won 2-0 = +0.92pts
ADO Den Haag won 2-0 = +0.45pts
Gaziantepspor lost 2-0 = -1pt
Plymouth won 2-0 = +1.8
-3.37pts.
Midweek:
Alfreton lost 0-1 = -1pt
Barnsley drew 1-1 = -1pt
Burnley won 5-1 = +2.84pts as 2pt bet
Luton lost 0-1 = -1pt
Tamworth lost 3-1 = -1pt
-1.16pts
So clear improvements can be made in football, but we expect them too. The strike rate is unusually low, and we are confident of turning it around. The consolation is that the 2pt football bets are doing very well!

Football
Getting close to the thick of things now, couple more weeks and all divisions
will be at our mercy (hopefully!)
Strike rate has been appalling, when it picks up results will improve. Hopefully its our "turn" for a better day today.
Birmingham
Bournemouth x 1.5
Middlesbrough
Millwall x 1.5
Peterborough
Port Vale
Scunthorpe x 2
Shrewsbury
ADO Den Haag - Holland
Gaziantepspor (Turkey)
Plymouth - UK!
From the first group, aside from Posh which is our one big underdog stab, an acca looks possible. Recommending 0.1 pts acca brum x bournemouth x boro x millwall x port vale x scunthorpe x shrewsbury. Www.oddsportal.com is a great site to find the best price for the acca.
Good luck if you follow

Friday Bets
Thurs Round Up:
What A Warrior 2nd but well behind = -1pt
Devdas 3rd started well and competed well. Outpaced when it mattered = -1pt
Marching On 3rd but quite a way back = -1pt
Gooseberry Bush left chasing early on, never threatened = -1pt
Classic Punch close enough at the start, tailed off and hampered, then eased right off = -1pt
Shifting Star WON @ advised 9/2, ran late on well and just held on = +4.5pts
So again, not a great day, but at least some promise in the selections. -0.5pts for the day
Today:
It is likely to be at least one punters dream today with the tote jackpot probably fetching over 2 million quid. Like everyone who is involved in horses, whether for fun, or professional, it is definitely worth having a go. I've had a look through our usual daily horse system and a selection doesn't come out for every race, so even some of us have to put the pin in the paper, so to speak. I've had a few quid, and would suggest you do so too. Very best of luck! As for our usual daily bets...
Newmarket:
1.15 Rakasa @ 9/2
2.25 Libranno @ 7/1
Haydock:
2.05 Hacienda @ 8/1
4.20 Lordofthehouse @ 9/4
Wolves:
6.15 Fire Fighter @ 15/8
7.45 Farmers Dream @ 9/1
Slim chance of a post if anything else develops - waiting on a few more things this end, but GL on these, they are all 1pt bets as it stands.

Thursday Bets
Wednesday results:
Doctor Banner was the 2pt bet of the day. Always relatively close, but in all honesty didn't look to have the pace to to really challenge = -2pts
Balnagore 3rd started positively, and led early on. An error put pay to that, and affected the run, weakening badly. = -1pt
The Cockney Mackem 2nd, didn't jump as well as he could, but stll in contention. Lost by a neck = -1pt
Royal Riviera pulled up = -1pt
Billy Buttons 2nd, took up an early lead, and stayed on well. Just short = -1pt
Neumark led , but tailed off = -1pt
Mata Hari Blue WON @ advised 9/2, and was backed into 11/4f. sat just off the front, and timed challenge very well to pull clear just out = +4.5pts
Appyjack 3rd slightly one paced, but again well backed from adv 13/2 into 9/2jf = -1pt
So not the best of days, but enough runs in there to remain confident. -3.5pts for the day.

Wednesday Bets
Just the one winner yesterday, unfortunately our 2pt traded really short, but got pipped into 2nd.
Half A Billion 3rd, just lacking a little extra = -1pt
Abidhabdubai 2nd as the 2pt bet, always in contention, looked like it would be good, but wasn't. = -1pt
Avonvalley uneasy start, ran well, but no chance in the end = -1pt
Emkanaat ran ok, but was easily beaten and eased off = -1pt
Qhilimar WON @ advised 4/1, in contention, and stayed on well, despite a couple of errors when jumping. Pulled clear = +4pts
So nothing lost, nothing gained.
Today, 8 bets in all including a nice priced 2pt bet.

Good day yesterday with 2 winners.
Personal Touch 2nd by a neck after a decent run. Led early, and kept on. Just beaten = -1pt
Ampleforth WON, staying on well to win. Advised @ 3/1, but 2 very late withdrawals meant an SP of 5/2 = +2.5pts
Captain Scooby WON, running on strongly to win well @ a drifting price of 8/1 SP = +8pts
Effigy didn't really get going = -1pt
So 8.5pts profit on the day, and after the weekend, it is nice to be back in profit.
Today:
Beverley:
3.30 Half A Billion @ 11/4
4.30 Abidhabdubai @ 11/2 (2pt bet)
Folkstone:
2.50 Avonvalley @ 11/2

Weekend Results
Horse Racing:
Friday:
Chooseday 3rd, not far away, always in contention = -1pt
Sphinx 2nd, ran well, but didn't really look like winning = -1pt
Cosmic Moon, did ok, but weakened = -1pt
Dark Isle 3rd, in touch, pressed but no real extra pace = -1pt
Sky Diamond 2nd, not the greatest start, caught up, but just lacking = -1pt
Abhaath 2nd, finished strongly, but just held off = -1pt
Birdwatcher as the 2pt bet, was well beat and never got into it = -2pts
So 5 place finishes, insinuate a touch of mis-fortune, but still -8pts on the day.
Saturday:
Kohala as the 2pt bet was a NR
Vesuve 2nd outpaced early on, but came back well. = -1pt
Sri Putra, one paced = -1pt
Glee 2nd by a neck, always in contention, every chance, just pipped = -1pt
Danceintothelight 3rd one paced a touch = -1pt
So -4pts, again a couple of near misses unfortunately.
Sunday:
Hyperlink, led early on but weakened badly = -1pt
Osgood, also led early, but lost out with lack of extra = -1pt
Think Its All Over, led early too, but weakened = -1pt
River Rhapsody 2nd, although the winner was too good = -1pt
Not as great in performance, with 3 of the selections starting well, but not finishing
-4pts
General summary is that days looking back over the weekend, I am a bit miffed we haven't landed a winner all things considered, but especially in this game, it definitely does happen. Hopefully a change in fortune is not far away.
Football:
Accrington lost 0-2 = -1pt (did not drift to qualify as a 2pt bet)
Aldershot won 0-1 = +2.30pts
Alfreton lost 3-1 = -1pt
Bury lost 3-0 = -1pt
Carlisle lost 4-1 = -1pt
Cheltenham lost 4-1 = -1pt
Millwall drew 0-0 = -1pt
Watford drew 1-1 = -1pt
Twente won 5-2 = +0.28pts
Az Alkmaar won = +0.94pts
Tromso won 2-0 = +0.66pts
Bilbao lost 2-3 = -1pt
So a pretty whiff day in all, and the first two weeks have not been great. We were a touch unfortunate midweek, but when your backing big priced aways, it is possible to have days like this. Take it on the chin and move on.
-3.82pts loss on football
So overall, not the best of weekends we have ever had!
Back later with today's horse selections

Friday 16th Sept
Today marks the 1 year birthday since our first post. Overall we are delighted that we have gained a small number of followers, and hopefully made some a couple of quid. The horse racing started terribly, but as we pointed out, it was all about the long-term, and to make a +240pts profit in the first year of the system is a wonderful outcome. Here is to year two...

Weds P&L = -3.25pts

Storming Bernard WON, made all and had far too much even late on when pulled away @ advised 9/4 = +2.25pts

Double Handful 2nd ran well, and looked to have a decent chance. Outpaced eventually by the winner late on = -1pt
Twice Bitten led early on, but fell away = -1pt

Jameel WON and drifted a touch to 11/4 SP, looked to be coasting and eased, but luckily just held on = +2.75pts

Tuesday Results
Horse Racing:
6 selections, 1 non runner, 3 winners, including the 2pt bet, so a nice day on the whole!
Hierarch NR
Midnight Rider off pace a touch = -1pt
King Of Wing WON as 2pt bet, despite drifting to 3/1 SP. Slight bit of after-timing with this, but at the 11/4 advised, this selection only qualified as a 2pt bet. I did make it a 3pt bet at 3/1, although this was never in the offering until right before the off, as even at the show it was priced 5/2. Still though +6pts on the bet.
Semmsu WON , also drifting from advised 10/3 to 9/2 SP! Drew clear impressively at the end = +4.5pts
Triggerlo ran well actually, more than looking like competing, until fading unfortunately. Had been backed too = -1pt
Silenzio WON, but was backed from advised 6/5. Chased early on, but came to front late on = +1.2pts
+9.7pts for the day
Football:
4 selections, and 1 winner, being the 2pt play on Northampton.
Northampton won, despite having 10 men. Penalty for the first, a huge slice of luck with some very poor keeping for the 2nd, but a 3-0 scoreline was most welcome. +4.8pts
Cheltenham, would have been a nice winner at odds of 4.02, and played well. Game finished 2-2, but two screamers from Torquay cost us = -1pt
Colchester drew 1-1 = -1pt
Accrington also drew 1-1 = -1pt
Despite a profit of 1.8pts on the night, do feel a touch unfortunate. Have already pointed to the two screamers from Torquay, but with a night when there were only 5 draws in League One and Two, had to not feel a slight missed opportunity.

GL today - has been a while since a 2pt bet has been won in comparison to the streak we had over the summer, so here is hoping our fortune changes on that front.

Weekend Results Update
Horse Racing:
Thursday -
Just the three bets
Goldplated weakened = -1pt
Dynamic Duo was going well, but hampered at a crucial part, and didn't put up a challenge after = -1pt
Map Of Heaven WON comfortably by 16l @ advised 4/7 = +0.57
So a small loss at -1.43pts
Friday:
Lilbourne Lad 4th, although not by much, probably just timing his charge too late = -1pt
Theology one paced, despite looking like competing = -1pt
Samitar 3rd, despite a strong looking finish = -1pt
Sir Trevor 3rd, again not by much. Looked to be going well, but pipped = -1pt
Highlife Dancer never in it = -1pt
Holiday Snap 2nd, was smashed into 5/2F from advised 8/1, just short = -1pt
So a couple of 'close' losers, but a -6pt day
Saturday:
Eton Forever 2nd, just losing out late one = -1pt
Marygold WON @ advised 10/3, making all = +3.33pts
Whisky Bravo 2nd to Marygold, = -1pt
Nant Season weakened = -1pt
Red Roar last, hampered, but a poor show = -1pt
Amadeus Denton never in it = -1pt
Lucky Numbers 2nd by 1/2l, just ran out of room to win = -1pt
Kyllachy Spirit WON @ advised 5/1, made all and just held on under pressure = +5pts
So 2 winners, and a small +2.33pts on the day
Sunday:
One bet
Son Du Silence 2nd, just short = -1pt
-1pt for the day
Monday:
With Musselburgh cancelled, just 3 bets ran from the 4.
Tidals Baby 2nd, but a slow start meant never really threatening = -1pt
Comadoir went well, but weakened = -1pt
Just Lille WON, staying on well to pull clear @ 10/3 = +3.33pts
So a small +1.33pts on the day.
Football:
Several bets, and it is nice to get the football side of this blog up and running once more. We felt we were incredibly unlucky last year with certain results, which hampered profits, but we're confident for this season (despite a losing weekend!)
Aldershot drew 1-1 = -1pt
Carlisle lost 1-2 = -1pt
Dagenham lost 3-1 = -1pt
Luton won 2-0 = +0.67pts
Lincoln lost 0-2 = -1pt
Northampton drew 0-0 = -1pt
Istanbul BB won 2-0 = +3.6pts
Feyenoord won 0-2 = +1.25pts
Genclerbirligi lost 3-2 = -1pt
Newport lost 5-0 = -1pt
Levante drew 0-0 = -1pt
So a bit disappointing with -2.48pts loss on the day.
That brings us up to date for now. Likely to be football bets midweek with some lower league English action, and also the daily horse selections.

Mon/Tue/Wed Results
Monday:
Grizzle 3rd narrowly = -1pt
Undulant Way 3rd, going off 11/4f from adv 6/1 = -1pt
Under Fire started well, but weakened, and lost ground = -1pt
Sermons Mount =-1pt
Lady Norlela always held up, and never found enough = -1pt
So not the greatest start to the week, with -5pts on the day.
Tuesday:
Dark Ambition 3rd but didn't ever look like winning = -1pt
Pabusar 3rd = -1pt
Esentepe WON @ advised 5/2, running on strongly to win = +2.5pts
So a small profit of +0.5pts, ending a few days of small losses.
Wednesday:
Gold City 2nd, as the 2pt, although didn't really look like reeling in the winner = -2pts
Deerslayer looked to be running, but tailed off = -1pt
Ingleby Exceed 3rd, held up early doors, and never in a real position to compete = -1pt
Barista 2nd by a neck, just left with a bit too much to do to catch. Ran well at the end though = -1pt
Bond Fastrac WON @ advised 4/1, finishing well = +4pts
Novalist 3rd to Bond Fastrac = -1pt
Mad Moose WON @ adv 9/2, despite falling away after bumping. Finished strongly = +4.5pts
Appyjack WON @ adv 10/1, and coasted almost. Settled well, and found the extra gears to win = +10pts
Roys Legacy WON, drifting to 13/2 SP. Took a bit of time to get going, but soon found the pace to lead and carried on home well = +6.5pts
So a pretty good day, in terms of profit and performance. 4 winners, 2 x 2nds, 2 x 3rds and one unplaced from 9 is certainly reassuring on a number of fronts. Still hopeful of that one big day where everything lands.... let us hope!

St Leger @ Doncaster
A very good day yesterday with 4 out of 9 winners. Shall update the record before what is hopefully a busy and good weekend to come. As for today though, 3 bets, 2 at large prices and 1 shorty.
Doncaster:
3.00 Goldplated @ 25/1
3.35 Dynamic Duo @ 14/1
Chepstow:
3.10 Map Of Heaven @ 4/7
All 1pt selections. Some of you may want to back the larger prices EW, but that will be up to you. Goldplated runs in a 7 runner race, so only the top two will be placed, and therefore I do not feel it is worth the extra 1pt. Very best of luck!

Tegan 2nd = -1pt

Sutton Veny 2nd by a nose = -1pt
Bated Breath 2nd in one of the closest photo finishes i've seen. Traded short short odds on, but still rolled = -1pt
Crius 2nd, did lead, but not quite the extra to match the winner = -1pt
Half a Billion 3rd = -1pt
Marching On lost as the 2pt bet, and I thought quite good. Weakened however = -2pts
Elijah Pepper 3rd in a very narrow defeat too = -1pt
Sat = -3.5pts, and the feeling of misfortune unfortunately!
Sunday:
One bet with Winning Show who also was 2nd = -1pt
So 3 losing days, is the fact of the matter, which certainly feels harsh when looking at the runs of the majority of the selections.
Tegan 2nd = -1pt
Blue Deer 2nd, just pipped late on despite leading most = -1pt
Yurituni WON, although a 10p rule 4 meant a price of 4.05/1, finished well = +4.05pts
River Falcon never really in contention = -1pt
Lucky Numbers held up and off the pace = -1pt
Red Somerset drifted like a barge from adv 7/1 to 11/1, and never ran a race at all. Guess that is the risk with AW racing, people know. Slow out the blocks, never within 10 lengths of the pack. = -1pt
Friday = -0.95pts
Saturday
Classic Punch =-1pt
Merchant Of Medici, error ridden = -1pt

Thursday Results
Byrd In Hand ran ok, but lacking somewhat late on = -1pt
Pimpernel 3rd not by much, but was always chasing = -1pt
Lomitaar, hampered badly early on, and always struggling there on in = -1pt
Hayden's Mount weakened badly = -1pt
Llewellyn 2nd, but we had backed the winner either way = -1pt
Stilettoesinthemud WON @ SP 6/1 just holding on = +6pts
Shere Khan 2nd, went really close, but narrowly lost by a head. = -1pt
Qahriman 2nd just outpaced in the last = -1pt
So -1pt on the day, which isn't the worst of days. Today's bets to follow around 1ish as usual. Thanks
*Forgot to include Torres Del Paine, which was also a loser, so a -2pt day. Apologies for that*
